9A Unit Four  Period Four 
Teaching Aims:
1 The affective aims
Get students to know the teenage life should be colorful, and let them know the pressure is for time being.
The knowledge aims
Use the new word such as  documentary  cartoon  comedy  drama series  prize  to talk about their favorite TV programs. and let them know the types of TV programs.
The ability aims
Foster students’ abilities of using English, especially the new words.
Improve the students’ four skills-listening, speaking, reading and writing, especially speaking and writing ability.

Task-based approach
Individual ,pair or group work to make every student work in class.
Learning strategies:
Learn to practice the word in the sentences.
Social communicative strategies: learn how to show your interest in something.

 Present the new topic ---watch TV programs---The types of TV programs.

Step 2 lead-in

 Different programs on the screen
 Teacher gives the students some pictures and let them choose their favorite. Interest the students and let the students know the outline of the different types of TV programs.

Step 3  Discussing the TV programs.

 1 Talk about CCTV 9/10 and ask they what they can learn through CCTV9/10.
2.Talk about Shenzhou 6 and Astronauts Fei junlong and Nie haisheng.  1.learn a lot about nature, history, and real life event from them.

Drama series
 1.Talk about which TV play is very popular at present and talk about their favorite drama series.
2.Talk about the feature of the drams series. 1.have interesting stories. It is made up of a series of stories.
2 long and have no time to sit in front of the TV.

Chat show
 1.Talk about whether they like watching programs about chatting.(Zhujun)
2. Talk about whether they like it or not. 1.famous people talk about their lives.

2. Let them learn to think about the things happened around us. Try to judge whether it is good or bad.
